She's been busy rehearsing for her role in upcoming show Ladies Day, so it's no wonder Roxanne Pallett stayed in full costume as she ducked out for a cigarette break.
The former Emmerdale star looked the typical Aintree lady as she sat on a park bench puffing away in her turquoise dress with matching top hat.
But soon enough Roxanne, 30, was up running around with her 22-year old boyfriend Harry Neale - making the most of their time together before she had to get back to work in Liverpool.
Quick break: Roxanne Pallett has a cigarette as she tears away from Ladies Day rehearsals in Liverpool
The actress met Harry while they were both starring in The Rocky Horror Show, in which she played Janet Weiss before Tracey Beaker star Dani Harmer took over.
Putting his arm around Roxanne, the two laughed and chuckled, clearly still enjoying the honeymoon period of their new relationship.
Open: The new play began its run on Friday and will continue until Saturday 13 July
Dressed for the races: The actress looked the spitting image of more than few ladies at Aintree this year
She may well have been chatting to Harry in her Scouse accent, as she pent time studying the people of Liverpool in a local park, and beauty salons to brush up her regional dialect.
But Roxanne is the only non Scouser in the cast, so it's no wonder she's tried so hard to do a good job to get the Liverpudlian jargon just right.
The actress also went to see Thelma Madine for a chat and to see some of her Big Fat Gypsy Wedding designs for inspiration and insight.
Ladies Day, which opens Friday 14 June and closes on Saturday 13 July, is a modern play that's set in Liverpool and tells the story of four women who work in a factory but dream of bigger things than their reality.
Lover's embrace: Harry Neale meets Roxanne on her break from the show in matching fashion
Shelley has a heart of gold beneath the brassy and tough exterior, but she has no filter and like a firework, she erupts and speaks before she thinks.
Each character is in crisis over something in their private life and has a secret to shed, but it's the trip to Aintree races on Ladies Day that brings them out of their shells.
Roxanne plays Shelley who is outrageous but loveable. She's desperate for fame and fortune after years of looking at pictures in magazines and believes the illusion of it all.
Lots of fun: The couple couldn't contain their laughter on the weekend
